Participating in the Sarawak Society for the Deaf (SSD) Charity Food Fair at the Christian Ecumenical Centre held great significance for us. The funds generated from the event will be allocated towards covering operational expenses, as well as supporting a variety of projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of the deaf community in Sarawak.

Our Sinar Mekar team supported the Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) in their Annual Charity Sales event where an excess of RM300,000 was raised. The funds raised will be used to support the operating costs of the KAA Resource and Education Centre.

Contributing to a good cause whilst encouraging an active lifestyle, our Sinar Mekar team participated in the Kuching Rotary Charity Run 2023 held at Cityone Megamall. Organised by the local Rotary Clubs, this event aimed to raise funds for their various community outreach programmes such as Kidney Dialysis Centres, Gift of Sight, Local food aids amongst others.

What better way to end the year by participating and contributing to the SSPCA (Sarawak Society for Prevention Cruelty to Animals) Christmas Charity Bazaar held at the Christian Ecumenical Centre. Our team had much fun mingling with the community as well as the fur-babies, while selling a variety of scrumptious food items and engaging in various activities and entertainments held at the venue. Heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity and effort by SSPCA and the Sinar Mekar family for the collective effort and contribution to a good cause – which is to help raise funds for our local animal shelter. #petlivesmatter

Sinar Mekar participated in the Sarawak Society for the Deaf (SSD) Charity Food Fair at the Christian Ecumenical Centre. This Charity Fair aimed to raise funds to finance the activities of the society; i.e. providing early intervention programme for the young deaf children, vocational skills for teenagers, sign language courses and other on going projects.
